Detective Byomkesh Bakshy !, a 2015 fim by Dibakar Banejjee


Byomkesh Bakshi, a name that was bringing a sensation to us during 90’s. Byomkesh Bakshi was the most popular detective or a suspense TV series of that time following Tehkikaat, Barister Vinod, Adalat, Kile Ka Rahasya, Indradhanush, Karamchand, Surag, Akhir Kaun, Apradhi Kaun, Barrister Roy, CID Officer, Kanoon etc.

Byomkesh Bakshi is a imaginary character like Sherlock Holmes, written by Sardindu Bandopadhyaya. That was the first time when Byomkesh Bakshi was seen on the television as a TV series but before this there were some movies are already made on Bakshi.

Chiriyakhana (1967)

Byomkesh Bakshi was first portrayed by Uttam Kumar in this movie while Shailen Mukherjee played the character of Ajit. Story of the the movie was based on 13th episode of the TV series Chidiyaghar. The movie was directed by Satyajit Ray. The film brought National award to Uttam Kumar and Satyjit Ray.

Detective Byomkesh Bakshi (2015)
Now Byomkesh Bakshi is about to be began his journey again in Hindi Cinema. Under direction of Dibakar Banerjee, Sushant Singh Rajput is playing character of Byomkesh Bakshi and Ajit's character will be played by Anand Tiwari.

Shooting of the film has already started and Director Dibakar Banerjee is all set to bring bengali’s most famous detective to the big screen. The film is titled Detective Byomkesh Bakshi and will be co-produced under Yash Raj Banners and Dibakar Banerjee Productions.

Dibakar is recreating the pre-independence era in the film. "Set in 1942, the film will show a war-torn Kolkata during the 1940s, as it follows the first adventure of Byomkesh, who is fresh out of college" said Banerjee.

This period thriller will hit the big screen in December 2015.

Rishtey: A quarrel of Indian and Western culture :)




Story and Plot:

From a very old zee tv series Rishtey featuring Rajit Kapoor and Kittu Gidwani.

Serial portrayed small stories about human relations in its every episode.

Shastri (Rajit Kapoor) and Tanuja (Kittu Gidwani) are two different kind of person who are teacher in a same school. Tanuja is a english teacher who believes in westerns culture. She wears shorts in school and speaks english. She shouts at students who speaks in hindi during her class.

On the other hand Sashtri is a pure desi type of person who hate western culture and the people who follows western culture. He speaks pure hindi and shouts at the students who talks in english. He also hates Tanuja because she follows western culture.

Their daily quarrel is a entertaining part of the school staff. A day Tanuja does not come school. Shastri is very happy that day. Similarly 4 days passes, Tanuja does not come school. Now Shastri starts worrying and tries to find out the reason why she is not coming school.
